random
random game....i took synonyms of random and then thought of the first associative word that came to my mind when i think of the word....sounds funny...but its good to while away time during aimless - weekends :)
random - number
chance - luck
haphazard - thinking
arbitrary - anything
casual - not serious
unsystematic - me
hit and miss - on the road
indiscriminate - justice
jumbled - words

the power of options
in this world of consumerism , where variety is a consumer right....and in some way could be good ...but as of now has left me completely baffled ....
almost 50 women's shoe shops on linking road khar leave me very confused as to where should i get that right 1 pair of shoes with exactly 15 Min's to shop (OK i must be the only woman talking like that but i cant possibly spending one whole day just shopping , i shop if i am in that area after work so have no patience!!) even if i spend 5 minutes in each store to look for that one single best pair i spend 250 Min's that is more than 4 hours!!! obviously i wont do that cause i HAVE only 15 Min's . so i see on one of the sides where there are 3 adjoining stores get into one of them thinking if i don't like anything have other 2 next door....i like a pair so i try it out and it exhausts those precious 15 Min's ....now i don't have time to look at other stores so i buy the one i liked...feeling a little disappointed that i could not even see what the other 2 have to offer.
whats the point of variety ?....i am still dissatisfied....also with increased consumerism , the time spent on it is really decreasing....how i wish i had half hour or maybe one hour to buy just ONE pair of shoe..
this happens all the time ..the more the options higher is the level of dissatisfaction.....be it restaurants, boutiques, malls, supermarkets, electronics goods store, cars, job opportunities, and even men :) .....
i think life was a lot simpler when there was only fiat or at max ambassador , or when there was only ONE shopping centre between 2 suburbs.....at least for the indecisive variety like me :)

How We Romanticize Struggle :)
I have noticed the habit of us Indians to romanticize struggle :) ( i can say indians cause thats the only breed i have known :P)
have you heard your grand mom saying those were the days where there was no gas , we used to cook in the traditional coal 'chulah' and now you have electric stove and microwave :P
or you parents saying we had only one phone in the entire colony!!
or your school history teacher saying remember the struggle of independence
or a successful entrepreneur or successful actor would get into flashback and talk about his days of no money or days of living out of wada pav :P
and our Hindi films like Om Shanti Om where srks current life is all about the struggle in his past life ...
it sometimes make me wonder what is it that we really value ? the hardships or the challenge , or just a sense of achievement that what you have today is because of everything that happened yesterday...it could be true...we will only value our today when it becomes our yesterday :)

Arranged Marriage!
Arranged Marriage is worst than blind dates .....you go to meet a stranger with the intention of marrying him without actually having met him :)

Aided memory
Aided memory results into no memory:)
realised this in MBA examinations ...now the question is would risk not taking help of aided memory so that you remember everything or rather make use of aided memory and forget everything else ?
quite a dilemma
